Construction Steel Bar Waist Reinforcement

Waist reinforcement is a type of steel reinforcement structure in building structures, also known as "belly reinforcement". Its name comes from its position generally located in the middle of both sides of the beam. It is a structural steel bar in the middle of the beam, mainly because some beams are too high and need to add a connecting bar in the middle of the stirrup (the longitudinal structural steel bar on the beam side is actually called waist reinforcement).
